MR. EDWIN MUTAI

Registrar,OTTI

The Registry at OTTI is currently headed by Mr. EDWIN MUTAI. The Directorate deals with four main sections of the institution. They include:-
– Registry
– Examinations
– Marketing/Outreach
– PC

The registrar is deputised by Deputy Registrar who oversees registry and outreach functions of the directorate

EXAMINATIONS

Examination section deals with all matters pertaining internal and external examinations including registration of candidates for exams, provisioning the examinations centres within the institute, scheduling internal examinations, keeping exam records of all departments, communicating with external examining agents. The main external examination agents are  KNEC AND KASNEB.

REGISTRY SECTION

Deals with admissions, registration, enrollment and keeping all records pertaining to students.
The registry is manned by two qualified registry clerks.
The section has a Deputy registrar whose role is to ensure advertisement of vacant posts, advertising of new courses, overseeing the preparation of transcripts, letters of admissions and reports to the registrar.  Registrar’s office.

OUTREACH

Outreach activities performed by OTTI include participation in events such as TVET fairs, Promotion, Road Shows and others they are organized under the auspices of the registrar

PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING (PC)

PC is a process that seeks to enhance the performance of state agencies in Kenya. Each Year, OTTI has to strategize how it seeks to deploy resources allocated to it by the government and the utilization must be verified and validated. The PC Coordinator is Mr KAMAU
